In the article titled “Smartphone in the Classroom? Let Students Decide,” David Gooblar contends that instructors should not unquestioningly ban of using personal technology in the classroom, but they should give a chance that students can discuss this topic and decide what is better by themselves. Gooblar mentions that students can easily improve their study skills by using mobile technology devices; therefore, allowing to use these devices will bring some advantages even though there are numerous controversies about using them in classroom. Moreover, Gooblar states that forbidding personal technology will lead to discrimination to some students with disabilities. Hence, the author argues that students should decide whether or not they use these devices in classroom and make acceptable policies. Gooblar believes that this way which makes students directly involve in this problem will let them have respo...

Peter Min 643 R/W 05/01/17 Without a cast of a doubt, there are many controversies whether all governments should use the tax for the environmental refugees or not, and it is one of the most important topic nowadays. In my opinion, every government has to allocate their budget for helping these victims of natural disasters. According to the article “Environmental Refugees Unable to Return Home”, the author Kakissis states that “But with the prospect of worsening climate conditions over the next few decades, experts on migration ay tens of millions more people in the developing world could be on the move because of disasters.” Furthermore, Kakissis contends that “bu...

Peter Min 643 R/W 04/28/17 These days, due to the rapid urbanization and the indiscriminate industrialization, our environments have totally changed compared to the past. No doubt the Earth is getting hot, and the effort to protect glacier in the North Pole is being needed more and more. Especially, climate change becomes a global issue, and it is severely threatening humanity and ecological environment.
